The spark
Greg saw the opportunity that offering in-house premium funding could present to clients and prospects of his insurance brokerage. With the twin goals of assisting clients with their cashflow and improving business margins he set out to make it a reality.
The launch
Greg enlisted the help of a leading software company to develop a bespoke program that had all the right functionality. Commercial Premium Funding was released in 1988, it was written in COBOL language and used function keys (not a mouse) to operate. The development company who worked with Greg on the project continue to lead in this space today.
The evolution
As the ‘90s unfolded, Greg saw the amazing opportunities that integrated software could offer his business. He conceived a new program designed to communicate seamlessly with his company’s other databases. The desire was to provide smooth journeys for his clients and reduce admin for his team. In 1996 this vision came to fruition as FlexiFund.
The development
Moving eagerly into the digital age, Greg wanted to adopt online technology for all the benefits it offered. It was time to upgrade the FlexiFund system and harness the internet. The team set to work developing this new version which represented an important step forwards in our SaaS offering.
The revolution
The new, online-enabled version of our premium funding software went live as FlexiFund It in 2001. Many businesses took notice of the opportunity it presented, and the software allowed a considerable number of insurance brokerages the opportunity to have their own in-house funding proposition.
The expansion
Always thinking of the next steps, Greg saw the benefits that easy and automated payments presented and decided to take it further. It was time to add some new tools to the arsenal and open our software to more industries. He expanded our in-house development with the purpose of growing the suite. Enter Flexigrow.
The future
That leads us to today, where our team has built a new invoicing software that removes admin headaches for time-strapped businesses. It doesn’t stop there either, as the name suggests, our SaaS offering is always growing, driven by the desire to empower other businesses with tools for growth. Greg is excited to share Flexigrow’s powerful software with businesses all over the world, as more tools are currently in development.
